Heifer Chicago volunteers are contacting organizations that have recently participated in raising funds or awareness for Heifer. The purpose is to (1) express appreciation for efforts on behalf of Heifer, (2) encourage future participation in Heifer activities, and (3) offer assistance from the volunteer team. Steps in the process include:

• Distributing the list of contacts (a Confidentiality Agreement must be signed)
• Preliminary call to identify Heifer contact person within the organization
• Conversation with contact person:
     - Express appreciation for previous support
     - Inquire as to plans for further activities to raise funds or awareness
     - Identify need for our assistance: brochures, DVDs, posters, speakers, advertisement
  
• Followup with email or mail.
