Grazing on the Green Gala raviniaTh

Grazing on the Green is a Heifer fundraising event held in conjunction with selected performances at the Ravinia Festival in Highland Park, IL.


 Chicagoland Flower and Garden Show CFGS-Th

Volunteers help staff Rich's Foxwillow Pines booth at the annual show. Heifer receives all proceeds from hostas and conifers sold at the booth. The 2010 show is March 6-14 at Navy Pier.


Living Gift Market Workshop LivingGiftTh

Workshops provide information and training sessions about how to run a "Living Gift Market," one of Heifer's most successful community fundraisers.


Cubs Opening Day at Uncommon Ground cubslogo

Our friends at Uncommon Ground have helped Heifer during Opening Day at Wrigley Field with their display to “Beat the Curse! Give a Goat! Feed the Hungry!”.


"Blooze Brothers" Benefit Concert BloozeTh

The Blooze Brothers concerts to benefit Heifer are organized by the Sun City Heifer Club. The Blooze Brothers are impersonators of the famous Blues Brothers, Joliet Jake and Elwood Blues (John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd).


Heifer Speaks! Workshop HeiferSpeaks

These interactive workshops prepare you to speak about Heifer at street fairs, festivals, schools, congregations and civic clubs.

 

Heifer Hoedown HoedownTh

The family-oriented Heifer Hoedowns are held at Historic Wagner Farm in Glenview, IL. Heifer Chicago Volunteers coordinate the games and activities, plan the food and entertainment, and help obtain sponsors for the event.


Hosta Happenings HostasTh

Over 500 varieties of hostas are on sale to benefit Heifer International at these "happenings" at Rich's Foxwillow Pines and Nursery, 11618 McConnell Road, Woodstock, IL. The month beforehand, volunteers help the "Hosta Queen," Margaret Eyre, divide plants in preparation for the Hosta Happening events. Volunteers also assist on the day of the event.


Family Farm Fest FarmFestTh

The Family Farm Fest featuring children's games, cake walking and a farmers market, all to benefit Heifer, will have a return engagement at the Church of the Holy Nativity in Clarendon Hills on Saturday, August 7, 2010.


Quilt Auction raviniaTh

This popular event will have a return engagement on November 6, 2010, at the Glenview Community Church. Auctioned quilted items include all sizes, colors, traditional patterns, wall hangings, baby quilts, heirloom and new from across the country.


NWEI Discussion Group NWEI

Heifer Chicago partners with the Northwest Earth Institute to make available courses such as Voluntary Simplicity, a five-session course that addresses the distractions of modern society that keep us from caring for ourselves, our relationships, and our environment.
